Ellie Stevenson was born in Oxford and grew up in Australia. She has a degree in economic history and two professional qualifications.

Having worked as a careers adviser, academic librarian and web editor, Ellie now writes articles for magazines and websites, mainly on history, careers and the arts.

Her first novel, Ship of Haunts, a ghost story about Titanic, child migration and life under the sea is available as an e-book from Amazon (978-0-9572165-01).

In 2009 she was commended for her entry in the Aesthetica Creative Works competition (short story).
